Really looking forward to the Polish Constitution Day Parade tomorrow at 11:30 AM in Grant Park. I have always wanted to go, given my heritage and I hope to post a few pictures though I'm not sure about the weather in Chicago this weekend?
Should be an amazing celebration of expatriate Polonia.

Friday Science and Engineering update for 4.26.2013
Happy to report a quick walk along the Hennepin canal path helped clear my head and the flooding in the Quad Cities region (Illinois/Iowa border) has improved somewhat after a very rough week.
Fingers crossed that we don't get more rain.
On to the Friday update, I am happy to report the new event schedule for Public science events at Fermi National Laboratory in Batavia has been posted. You can read all about the upcoming lecture series and Public performance events scheduled for Wilson Hall and the Ramsey Auditorium here
Also, Wilson hall, never not cool.

Exploring twitter for Quasi-professional purposes
In case you were wondering? One thing I have been evaluating is the cost/benefit aspect of a strategy for twitter. So far, my mileage appears to vary. I have made an initial foray into the use of this networking technology and come away with some rough guidelines as to how one can make use of it in a para-professional context.
1. Avoid being mean. Politess seems to provoke a strong positive reaction and desire for others to become twitter "followers" of yours.
2. Make liberal use of the delete button in twitter. If a tweet seems wrong or poorly thought out, there is no real reason to preserve the mistake for posterity.
3. A certain "hip and ironic" stance seems to go over well. Knowledge of Pop cultural significance appears to be rewarded.
4. Avoid verbosity and long winded discussion when a simpler summary or even a single word type response will do.
These are only rough ideas on making use of "the twitter" (joke) in a means consistent with growing beneficial potential opportunity topology. I continue to explore this social system and will report when it seems useful?

Quiet is nice.
For a change. Having finally stumbled on what would be a useful function for this blog, I also came to the conclusion that I needed another break in early April because I'd like more exercise and I'm in the field for the current client starting next week.
Spring is a very busy time and so things are going to remain very intermittent for the next three months. Just a polite way of saying "I'm busy and need a rest."

Still Quiet.. I'm thinking
Still thinking hard. Need to upload the St. Patrick's Day article but otherwise very busy. Patience is appreciated.
